Graduate Student Awards

CSEE graduate students win a number of fellowships and awards each year. The lists give recent recipients.

National Science Foundation Fellowships

The National Science Foundation Graduate Research Fellowship program is a highly competitive program which offers recognition and three years of support for advanced study to approximately 900 outstanding graduate students in the mathematical, physical, biological, engineering, and behavioral and social sciences, including the history and philosophy of science, and to research-based PhD degrees in science education. The NSF Fellowship is awarded to applicants who demonstrated greatly meritorious scholarly credentials, such as the ability to plan and conduct research; work both independently and as a member of a team and who excel in interpreting and communicating research findings. Applicants are selected for their ability to effectively integrate research and education at all levels, encourage diversity, broaden opportunities, enhance scientific and technical understanding; and benefit society.
